About

Our Mission

We empower and engage with womxn who identify as West Indian womxn living with a hyphenated identity. Utilizing the power of storytelling through interviews, features, creative photography and digital media, our platform will present an array of relevant topics.

You can expect fresh content, coverage of trending news, discussion on issues that matter to us and celebration of Caribbean art, icons, feminism, beauty, music and lifestyle.

Our Story

Caribbean Collective Magazine was created as a result of the need for celebration and representation of West Indian womxn and our experiences. We found there were no platforms to represent West Indian womxn with hyphenated identities in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. While there are publications that represent specific groups, there were none that represent all ethnicities within the culture collectively. Hyphenated identities are unique. Our culture is a fusion of cultures from a distant motherland, the Caribbean, and the countries we now reside in. As diverse as we are, we are unified by one culture—West Indian Culture.

Our Vision

Our vision is to serve as a powerful platform of representation and recognition of influential and local West Indian womxn doing phenomenal work in their industries and communities. We highlight the diversity within our culture while celebrating West Indian culture collectively as a sisterhood. Our platform serves as a digital anchor for West Indian womxn.

Caribbean Collective Magazine is dedicated to Afro Caribbean, Indo Caribbean, Asian Caribbean, Native Caribbean, Multi-racial Caribbean women, and all groups that identify as West Indian. We’ve created this magazine to represent your voices and stories.
