Hailing from Guadeloupe, she celebrated her heritage by creating picturesque details of the island and took her readers on a life journey through motherhood and love. Caribbean Art Duo Make Waves at Miami’s Art Basel

Out of more than 275 galleries that participated in Miami’s Art Basel, one exhibition emerged, staged by two Caribbean women with a vision. “The Open Boat” exhibition showcased Caribbean art through the lens of Martinican philosopher and poet Édouard Glissant. More than 40 artworks across seven countries were selected to showcase a narrative based on Glissant’s text on the Middle Passage from Africa to the Caribbean.
